"Monster Island," The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, was released around the same time that "Godzilla: King of the Monsters". It is about an island called Monster Island where a monster lives. The monster is in some ways the island.


Because this movie is about an asylum, it has the same budget as a big kid’s meal but uses it sparingly. It has a small number of characters Monster Island Asylum that are human and the main actors can all be seen on one set. It is a kaiju movie and that's just how they do, so perhaps The Asylum won’t do such an awful job.
